Director’s Cut Trailer
Adam Rifkin & Penn Jillette put out a trailer for the Sladmdance film DIRECTOR’S CUT. It’s currently playing in festivals all over the country. It’s a very meta film, so as a producer you can find me wandering around in the background quite a bit. We’re looking to have a good proper release date soon.
Herbert Blount aspires to replace the real director of a movie and make it his own by capturing the lead actress and inflicting much horror upon her in his version.
Written by Penn Jillette, directed by Adam Rifkin. Produced by Pete Golden, Glenn Alai, Cyan Banister, Eric Thirteen, Randy Pitchford

Rob Zombie’s 31 Trailer
Great news! I’m back from Sundance, where 31 was very well received. The film will be released September 16th in theaters and on VOD! It’s real classic Zombie, just brutal as fuck. You’re going to love it.
Five carnival workers are kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned, Hell-like compound where they are forced to participate in a violent game, the goal of which is to survive twelve hours against a gang of sadistic clowns.
Written and directed by Rob Zombie. Produced by Eddie Vaisman, Eric Thirteen, Rob Stull, Michael Sherman, Matthew Perniciaro, Andy Gould, Mike Elliott.

Double Feature Returning for Year 8
Great news! The Double Feature Year 8 Kickstarter was funded. It looks like we’re coming back for another 53 episodes. We’ll also be doing the usual Additional Content shows, and even some new feature-length commentary. If you saw the Kickstarter video, you also know we’re working on a movie for next year.
The podcast has really benefited from your input. I’m really happy our show has become an example of what can be achieved through crowdsourcing. In the last year we’ve gone from a Kickstarter story to no-kidding Hollywood filmmakers. This is really the old story of finding collaborators in your friends…except we’re making all our friends on the Internet.
Double Feature Year 8 begins July 2 at 12:01am. See you there.

Let’s Play Alien: Isolation with V/H/S 2 Star Hannah Hughes
Let’s unwind from projects a bit and play Alien: Isolation with my awesome friend Hannah Hughes.
We’re in a new series of videos (Let’s Play Alien: Isolation with V/H/S 2 Star Hannah Hughes) going through the horror game. There’s both a commentary version and a no-commentary version.
Today I saw a nice Bloody Disgusting article about the series. Those guys love Alien: Isolation – probably because it’s terrifying and wonderful. I imagine they love Hannah for the same reason.
The Birthday Massacre Concert Film
Out now: a free Birthday Massacre concert film I directed! Get it over at TBMChicago. You remember TBChicago, don’t you?
I wrote a little bit about the origins of the project, as well as the eight years that’s transpired since then, over on Medium.
Executive Producer of Rob Zombie’s 31
After spending a month Director’s Cut, I’m hooked. I have a taste of blood, and how better to satisfy that than with a great murder flick.
I’m excited to say I’m now the executive producer of Rob Zombie’s new film 31. Anyone who listens to Double Feature knows Michael and I are both big proponents of Rob Zombie. Recently we even started a Twitter-sourcing project to discover every movie Rob Zombie samples from. Anyways, here’s the concept for 31:
Five people are kidnapped on the days leading up to Halloween and held hostage in a place called Murder World. While trapped, they must play a violent game called 31 where the mission is to survive 12 hours against a gang of evil clowns.
Old-school American horror, the splat pack, I can’t get enough of that stuff. This movie’s going to be fucking brutal. The concept art is violent, exploitative, and full of nudity. It’s going to be Zombie on his home turf!
